At Pearwood Pediatric Dentistry, our goal is to provide exemplary dental care for kids of all ages, and to help them create good oral hygiene habits that will last a lifetime. We strive to create meaningful relationships with our patient families so no one is left in the dark. With a focus on education, compassion, and fun, our philosophy aims to help your families develop a positive relationship with both the dentist and their own dental health.
Dr. Ginger Stagg was born and raised in Pearland, and is so excited to bring smiles to her hometown! After high school, she headed to Texas A&M University, where she received her Bachelor’s of Science. At the end of her first year there, she took a job as a dental assistant at a pediatric dental office in Pearland, and from that moment on, her path in life was set.
She continued working there throughout the rest of her college years, even as she completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas School of Dentistry. Although she headed to Louisiana State University School of Dentistry for her residency, it wasn’t long before she was back in Pearland, where she worked as an associate pediatric dentist for 11 years.
Eventually, Dr. Stagg opened her own office in a neighboring community, but she just couldn’t stay away from her beloved hometown. When she found out that the practice she had been a part of for over a decade was moving, she jumped at the opportunity. Along with Dr. Chris Harris, she purchased the space and opened Pearwood Pediatric Dentistry. Her dream of bringing smiles to the kids and teens of Pearland had finally come full circle.
When she’s not in the office, she loves spending time with her husband and two amazing kiddos, hiking, skiing, cooking together, or playing games. She’s also an avid runner, dedicated to whole-body health, and has completed multiple marathons and Ironman races.
Dr. Chris Harris grew up right down the road in Houston, graduating from St. John’s School before going off to Mississippi for college. He first earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry from Millsaps College, then a Master’s of Science in Polymer Science and Engineering from University of Southern Mississippi. It was at this point that he shifted gears to pursue his true passion: dentistry. He received his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry from University of Mississippi School of Dentistry, and then completed his pediatric residency back home at University of Texas.
What drew him to dentistry, after the years of chemistry, polymer science, and engineering, was the unique combination of art and science it brings to the table. While in dental school, he fell in love with pediatric dentistry in particular, as it additionally provides a chance to positively shape a child’s formative perception of dentistry, which can last a lifetime.
When he’s not at work, Dr. Harris is spending time with his family, especially his own young children. You might find them at the beach, snorkeling, travelling, cross-country skiing, or doing just about anything outdoors.
Our modern office is designed with your kids in mind, and is equipped with amenities that minimize dental anxieties and maximize patient comfort. Our kids' area will let them play and blow off some steam before their visit, and TVs in the operatories will keep their attention during treatment. For children that are feeling extra nervous, or who are about to undergo more complex procedures, we even offer a full range of sedation options to meet the needs of every child!
